Given new life, No. 10 Bethel made the most of it, scoring a touchdown on the last play of the game and adding a two-point conversion to rally past Concordia-Moorhead 15-14.

The Cobbers appeared to have had the game in hand, forcing a turnover with under 20 seconds left. But as Concordia was about to scoop up a fumbled ball and run it in for a touchdown, Concordia players and a coach came onto the field, resulting in a defensive penalty and Bethel maintaining possession of the ball.

On the next play, Royal quarterback Erik Peterson hit Jay Hilbrands in the end zone for a 9-yard touchdown pass, and he followed with a swing pass to Mitch Hallstrom for the two-point conversion for the win. It's the first loss of the season for the Cobbers.

No. 7 Salisbury defeated No. 9 St. John Fisher 28-17, taking advantage of three fourth-quarter turnovers and returning one for the game-clincher. Sea Gulls quarterback Dan Griffin was held to 33 yards rushing but completed six of seven passes for 124 yards and a touchdown in the victory. The win upheld the D3football.com Top 25, while the AFCA had homestanding St. John Fisher ranked eighth, Salisbury 10th.

Eric Rogers had eight catches for 107 yards and two scores as No. 8 Cal Lutheran defeated Redlands 45-35.

After Wittenberg scored to cut Wabash's lead to 27-24 with 9:38 left, the Tigers never got the ball back. The No. 16 Little Giants pounded out an 18-play drive to run out the remainder of the game and beat Wittenberg in a game that usually decides the NCAC championship.

UW-Platteville quarterback Bryce Corrigan, who entered the game last week against UW-Whitewater after an injury to John Kelly, completed 22 of his first 23 passes as the No. 14 Pioneers ran away from UW-La Crosse 40-10. The other pass was dropped. He finished 37-for-43.

No. 19 UW-Oshkosh improved to 5-0 for the first time since 1968 with a 50-13 win against UW-Eau Claire. Nate Wara passed for 198 yards and rushed for 104 for the Titans. Fifth-ranked UW-Whitewater scored three third-quarter touchdowns to pull away from UW-River Falls in a 35-0 victory. The Warhawk defense held the Falcons to 3 yards on the ground.

Bobby Dougherty had three touchdown runs, two of them in the fourth quarter to lift No. 12 Hobart past Springfield 28-7. No. 11 North Central had little trouble with Millikin in a 42-22 road victory. Fourth-ranked St. Thomas overcame six turnovers to defeat Gustavus Adolphus 28-14 and set up an undefeated meeting with Bethel next Saturday. Top-ranked Mount Union crushed Wilmington 66-0.

Second-ranked Mary Hardin-Baylor rolled out to a 42-7 lead after three quarters and held on against 24 fourth-quarter points from Texas Lutheran to win 49-31.

Louie Bianchini threw four touchdown passes, all in the first half, as No. 23 Rowan defeated Montclair State 33-7. No. 20 Wheaton held Carthage to 25 yards of total offense in the second half of a 44-10 win.
