Dubuque remained unbeaten and continued its surprising start by blasting Central 56-28. The Spartans have scored 164 points in their last three victories and are now 4-0, 2-0 in the IIAC. And it wasn't all Mike Zweifel, either. Although he caught 16 passes for 232 yards, Demacus Fleming had 10 catches for 129 himself as the Spartans equalled their 2010 win total.

Tyler Swanson caught a 32-yard touchdown pass from Marcus Brumm as time expired to lift Augsburg past St. John's 32-31. Augsburg had started from its own 20 with just 18 seconds left. Video highlights. The Auggies had to come out of the locker room 15 minutes later, just to not kick the extra point. Augsburg took a knee rather than risk a blocked kick return for a defensive two-point conversion.

Shane Brozowski threw for 458 yards and seven touchdowns as Castleton State outscored Anna Maria 56-52. Anna Maria is still looking for the first win in program history. Susquehanna nipped Gettysburg 56-55 in overtime by hitting on a two-point conversion instead of going for the tie. The game featured nine lead changes and tied the Centennial Conference record for most combined points set by the two teams last yearWorcester State defeated Westfield State 42-40 in triple overtime to improve to 4-0.

Hobart picked up a big win for itself and the Liberty League by grounding St. John Fisher, 56-20. Wilkes built a 21-point lead and hung on to beat Widener, 35-27.

WPI has struggled in recent years, but has somehow had RPI's number the past two years as Ernie Mello ran for four touchdowns to keep the Transit Trophy in Worcester 34-31. Union snapped a nine-game losing streak, beating Rochester 41-34 behind 363 passing yards from Drew Connolly.

Following a B-W fumble at the Capital 5-yard line with 2:17 left, the Crusaders traveled 95 yards in 13 plays and Chase Carris hit Matt White with a 17-yard TD pass with 15 seconds left to come away with a 14-11 win. Adam Kniffin caught touchdown passes of 79, 50 and 25 yards, but Whittier defeated Puget Sound 66-48.

Mike Aldo had three sacks, two forced fumbles and blocked a punt as Amherst beat Bates 20-7 in the teams' NESCAC opener. Washington and Lee and Alma combined for 91 points and 1,132 yards of offense as the Generals emerged with a 49-42 victory. W&L scored the last two touchdowns to win. Sam Durley had a big night at quarterback for Eureka against first-year program Presentation and Ben Guiles did the same for Lebanon Valley against first-year Stevenson.
