Concordia hosts its final regular-season home game of 2011 on Saturday when they square off against No.20-ranked Bethel at 1 p.m.
For the second straight home game, Concordia will play in the MIAC marque match-up game. Saturday's game will have huge implications on the top 3 in the conference and a potential spot in the NCAA playoffs. The Cobbers can finish in second place with wins in their final two games. Both teams factor in the latest AVCA Division III national Poll. The Royals are currently ranked 25th while the Cobbers are in the "also receiving votes category."
Saturday's game should be all about the run. Concordia and Bethel are the top two rushing teams in the league and have two of the top three rushing defenses. One other key in the game might come on special teams where the Cobbers have allowed a pair of kick return TD's in the past three weeks while Bethel senior Kelson Carr owns the best kick return average in the MIAC.
The game will feature live stats and live audio. Both telecasts can be found on the Cobbers' athletic site at: www.cord.edu/Athletics/live.php.
