PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The Carnegie Mellon University football team will conclude its 2010 home schedule Saturday, November 6, as the University of Chicago travels to Pittsburgh for the University Athletic Association (UAA) match-up. The Tartans will enter the contest with a 4-4, 0-1 record, as the Maroons have a 6-2, 1-0 mark.
The series between Carnegie Mellon and Chicago started in 1988 when the UAA was formed. The Tartans hold an 18-4 advantage and have won three of the last four meetings. Last season in the Windy City, Chicago came away with a 24-7 victory. Carnegie Mellon holds the longest winning streak between the two teams at 10 games, which started the series.
Last week, the Cardinal and Gray dropped a 20-13 overtime decision at Washington University. The Maroons upset 23rd-ranked Case Western Reserve University, 24-20. Chicago will look for its third victory in Pittsburgh and first since 2000, when the teams take the field on Saturday.
