November 16, 2019 Carnegie Mellon Wins 34th Annual Academic Bowl with 24-21 Victory Over #20 Case Western Reserve The Carnegie Mellon University football team hosted Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) rival Case Western Reserve University in the 34th Annual Academic Bowl on Saturday. The Tartans defeated the 20th-ranked Spartans 24-21, as Case Western Reserve’s Robertson Albrecht’s 43-yard field goal attempt as time expired hit the crossbar and bounced out which led to the Tartans second straight Academic Bowl victory.
November 14, 2019 Eight Carnegie Mellon Football Players Named CoSIDA Academic All-District For the second straight season, the Carnegie Mellon University football team had eight members named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District Football Team on Thursday. To be nominated for the award, a student-athlete must be a starter or significant reserve and maintain a GPA of 3.3 or better.
November 9, 2019 Carnegie Mellon’s Defense and Special Teams Propel Tartans to 20-14 Win Over Westminster The Carnegie Mellon University football team hosted the Westminster College in Presidents’ Athletic Conference play on Saturday afternoon and handed the Titans a 20-14 defeat. The win moves Carnegie Mellon to 7-2 overall and 6-2 in PAC play while Westminster is now 6-3, 5-3.

Campbell Trophy Finalist Selected as the best and brightest from the college gridiron, from a nationwide pool of 185 semifinalists among all NCAA divisions and the NAIA, The National Football Foundation (NFF) & College Hall of Fame announced today that Carnegie Mellon's senior defensive end Michael Lohmeier (Clarendon Hills, Ill./Hinsdale Central) is one of 12 finalists for the 2019 William V. Campbell Trophy, presented by Mazda. The award recognizes an individual as the absolute best football scholar-athlete in the nation for his combined academic success, football performance and exemplary leadership. Lohmeier is the lone Division III representative and is joined by Alex Goettl of Minnesota State University - Mankato as the only non-Division I honorees.
October 26, 2019 Carnegie Mellon Overpowers Thiel on Homecoming The Carnegie Mellon University football team hosted the Thiel Tomcats in a Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) contest on Homecoming Saturday and downed the Tomcats 40-7. The Tartans are now 6-2 overall and 5-2 in PAC play while the Tomcats are 0-8, 0-7.
