Offense

QB Storm Harmon, Jr., UW-River Falls
Harmon completed 17 of 24 passes for 306 yards and four touchdowns in a 54-24 win over Hope, the Falcons' first season-opening win since 1996.

OL Tommy Olsen, Randy Gyllin, Kyle Schulz, Jason Olejniczak, Tyler Smith, UW-La Crosse
The Eagles’ offensive line racked up 662 offensive yards on 340 passing and 322 rushing against then No. 11-ranked Hardin-Simmons. They allowed no sacks on 23 passing plays in the 47-21 win.

RB Robert Heller, Fr., Waynesburg
Heller, in his collegiate debut, ran for 230 yards and four touchdowns on 32 carries in the Yellow Jackets’ 28-10 win over Muskingum.

RB Phillip Carter, Sr., Bridgewater (Va.)
In the first half of a 45-19 win over McDaniel, Carter carried the ball 11 times for 107 yards and all four Eagle touchdowns, as Bridgewater took a 28-3 lead into the half. He finished the game with a career high 158 yards on 22 carries and five rushing touchdowns -- an Old Dominion Athletic Conference record.

WR Joc Quise Brown, Jr., Sul Ross State
Brown hauled in 10 catches for 256 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Lobos to a 33-31 win over Texas Lutheran.

WR Greg Meyer, Jr., Buffalo State
Meyer scored four touchdowns (three receiving and one rushing) in a 37-14 road win against Morrisville State. He finished the day with only five touches (four receptions and one carry).

TE Ryan Hoerner, Jr., Wartburg
Hoerner caught six passes for 107 yards and two scores in a 35-7 win against Monmouth.

Defense

DL Jarrell Chandler, Jr., Salisbury
Chandler had nine tackles (five solo), 4.5 tackles for a loss, and three sacks against Albright as the Sea Gulls won 42-12. He also blocked Albright’s point after attempt in the third quarter.

DL Adam Drescher, So., Ithaca
Drescher recorded nine tackles (five solo), three tackles for a loss, one sack, and caused one fumble, as the Bombers defeated Lycoming 31-6, and held the Warriors to just 90 yards of total offense. He also tipped a pass that a teammate intercepted that later led to a Bomber touchdown.

DL Ken Bevington, Jr., John Carroll
Bevington totaled 11 tackles (five solo), 3.5 tackles for a loss, 1.5 sacks, and one forced fumble as JCU shutout Wooster, 24-0. In only his second career start, he helped the Blue Streaks defense hold Wooster to 78 rushing yards on 32 attempts.

LB Adam Hay, Jr., Centre
Hay helped lead a Centre defense that limited Bluffton to 179 total offensive yards. He recorded 20 tackles (six solo), four tackles for a loss, and two sacks in the 14-9 win.

LB Andy Puryear, Sr., Texas Lutheran
Puryear collected a career high 19 tackles (9 solo) in a loss to Sul Ross State. He also recorded three tackles for a loss, recovered a fumble, and intercepted a pass he returned for 32 yards.

LB Anthony Cucit, Jr., St. John Fisher
Cucit recorded nine tackles (two solo), 1.5 tackles for a loss, one sack, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and one interception as the Cardinals defeated King’s, 49-7. He was named the Empire 8 Conference football defensive co-player of the week in his first career start.

LB Nick Rydberg, Sr., St. Olaf
Rydberg tallied 14 tackles (eight solo), 4.5 tackles for a loss, and one sack in the Oles 26-19 win over Luther.

DB Matt Long, So., Christopher Newport
Long intercepted three passes as then-No. 23 Captains knocked off then-No. 10 Rowan. He also recorded 11 tackles (five solo), a sack, and a fumble recovery.

DB Tommy Breitbach, Jr., Coe
Breitbach had five pass deflections and a 92-yard interception return for a touchdown in the Kohawks 24-6 win over Illinois Wesleyan. He also returned a punt for a 51-yard score.

DB Jake Weller, Sr. Illinois College
Weller had six tackles (four solo), two interceptions, and one fumble recovery as the Blueboys fell to Millikin 23-21. His fumble recovery led to a touchdown on the very next play.

DB Harold Green, Sr., William Paterson
Green posted two tackles, an interception, and four pass breakups in a 17-16 upset of then-No. 15 ranked Wilkes. His interception and 23-yard return set up the eventual game-winning field goal in the third quarter.

Special teams

RET Jacob McDonnell, So., Macalester
McDonnell racked up 430 all-purpose yards in the Scots' 34-21 win over Beloit. He had 143 rushing yards on 24 carries, 190 receiving yards on six receptions, and 97 kickoff yards on two returns. He scored three times, twice through the air and once on an 81-yard kickoff return. McDonnell’s yardage is the most in Division III since 2001.

P Matt Adams, Sr., Carnegie Mellon
Adams booted the ball four times for 184 yards (46.0 average) in the Tartans 33-10 win over Rochester. He had a long of 61, with two inside the 20-yard line.

K Jon Robinson, Sr., Kean
Robinson connected on four field goals and four extra points in the Cougars' 48-7 win over USMMA. His field goals were from 38, 35, 35, and 25 yards out.
