December 4, 2019 MacNeill announces retirement from Cortland After 23 seasons and six trips to the NCAA Division III playoffs, Dan MacNeill has announced he will no longer be head football coach at Cortland.
November 23, 2019 Hobart Defeats Cortland, 30-10, in New York Bowl CORTLAND, N.Y. – Ryan Hofmann completed 24-of-36 passes for 253 yards and three touchdowns and game MVP Rayshawn Boswell returned a kickoff 95 yards for a touchdown as Hobart defeated host Cortland, 30-10, to win the 2019 New York Bowl.
November 21, 2019 Cortland Football Game Notes vs. Hobart (New York Bowl - Nov. 23 at Cortland) Cortland hosts Hobart in the 2019 New York Bowl, which features high-ranking teams from the Empire 8 and Liberty League conferences. Cortland won the inaugural New York Bowl in 2017 with a win at Union and also qualified for the 2018 game, which was canceled. The Red Dragons were the Empire 8 co-champion this fall. Hobart tied for second in the Liberty League this fall. Both teams enter the contest with 8-2 overall records.

More than 45,000 tickets have been sold as the game looks to break the Division III single-game attendance record of 37,355 set by St. Thomas and St. John's (Minn.) on Sept. 23, 2017 at Target Field in Minneapolis.
