September 8, 2018 Buena Vista Falls 27-20 at Concordia (Neb.) Sophomore Eric Pacheco returned a punt 63 yards for a touchdown before hauling in a 63-yard touchdown pass minutes later to give Buena Vista a 20-14 lead, but it was Concordia responding with a pair of touchdowns, including the game-winner with 53 seconds left, as the Bulldogs handed the Beavers their first loss of the year, 27-20.
September 17, 2017 Buena Vista Wins Dramatic OT Thriller over Central In a game that featured over 1,000 yards of total offense, it ultimately came down to a mere two yards on a two-point conversion attempt from Buena Vista senior TJ Lint that gave the Beavers a dramatic 39-38 walk-off overtime win against Central College on Saturday afternoon in the Iowa Conference opener for both teams.
September 6, 2017 Buena Vista's Illg and Pacheco Named IIAC Performers of the Week It was a great start to the 2017 season for the Buena Vista football team last Thursday night as it opened with a 31-27 home win over Mayville State. Two individuals were recognized by the Iowa Conference on Tuesday afternoon for their efforts during the win by being named performers of the week.
December 20, 2016 Buena Vista names Mollring new head coach Grant Mollring has been the offensive coordinator at Hastings for the past three seasons and before that was the offensive coordinator for four seasons at Doane. He served as both recruiting coordinator and quarterbacks coach at both NAIA programs.
November 16, 2016 Anderson resigns at Buena Vista Jay Anderson has resigned as the head football coach at Buena Vista. Anderson had been part of the football program for the last 20-plus seasons in a variety of roles including graduate assistant, assistant coach and head coach.
July 20, 2015 Nebraska Wesleyan coming to IIAC NWU hasn't played a Division III opponent in football since 2002 but will jump back in in full force in the fall of 2016 when the Prairie Wolves join the Iowa Conference.
