Offense

QB Caleb Estes, So., Howard Payne

Estes threw for five touchdowns for the second time in two weeks. This time it was on 26-of-31 passing for 388 yards with no interceptions in a conference victory over McMurry. While throwing to eight receivers this week, Estes also rushed for one touchdown.

OL Austin Lewter, Derrick Maddox, Chris Moore, Chandler Pearce, Spencer Scofield, Birmingham-Southern

The Birmingham-Southern offensive line paved the way for a rushing attack that totaled 313 yards in a 45-13 win over in-state rival, Huntingdon. On 39 attempts, the Panthers averaged 8 yards per carry while getting into the end zone four times on the ground. The 313 yards on the ground is the most that the Panthers have produced since 2012.

RB David Kagan, Sr., Hamilton

Kagan ran for 195 yards and three touchdowns and the Continentals defeated Bowdoin 37-24. His rushing total was the most for a Hamilton back since 2004. Kagan, who averaged nearly 10 yards per carry, put the Continentals in the lead for good at 27-24 on a 4-yard touchdown run with 8:22 left in the fourth quarter. He added a 2-yard score for a 10-point cushion with 5:19 remaining. He gained 150 yards in the fourth quarter alone.

RB Khayleb Willis, Sr., St. Olaf

Willis had 32 carries for a career-high 257 yards and a pair of touchdowns for St. Olaf in a 33-20 victory at Luther to move the Oles to 2-0 on the season. The senior had nine runs of 10-plus yards on his way to the most rushing yards in a game by an Ole since 2009.

WR Steven Fedorchak, Jr., Western New England

Fedorchak turned in the most prolific single-game receiving performance in program history as Western New England defeated Westfield State 56-35 in the annual Presidents' Cup Game. Fedorchak made a career-high nine catches and established new program records for both receiving yards (319) and touchdowns (five). He needed just one quarter to break the previous records. The junior hauled in touchdown receptions of 53, 69, 69 and 35 yards in the opening period, before adding another 35-yard score in the second quarter.

WR Samuel Staehling, Sr., St. Norbert

Staehling had five receptions for 172 yards and two touchdowns in St. Norbert's 27-21 win over UW-Eau Claire, the first win for St. Norbert over the WIAC since 1983 and the first for a sitting MWC member over a WIAC football opponent since 1935.

TE Mike Radue, Jr., Martin Luther

Radue caught two passes for 91 yards and a touchdown in the Knights' 34-20 win over Rockford. He also contributed as a blocker as the team ran for 214 yards.

Defense

DE John Cleary, Sr., St. John Fisher

Cleary helped to all but eliminate the running game for Bridgewater State as St. John Fisher moved to 2-0 behind a 35-28 win. As a team, Fisher allowed just 7 yards on the ground with Cleary leading the charge. He finished with seven tackles in the win including four for a loss and a game-high two and a half sacks. The senior defensive end also forced and recovered a fumble and was credited with two quarterback hurries.

DT Keyonn Jones, Sr., Delaware Valley

Jones led an Aggie defense that allowed just 3.5 yards per carry through a four-overtime contest. Jones recorded a team high 11 tackles and one and a half sacks as Delaware Valley permitted just three points through regulation to the visiting Wolverines.

DE Sam Brod, Jr., Carnegie Mellon

Brod helped the Tartans start the season 2-0 following a 31-6 win at Geneva. He headed a defense that held the Golden Tornadoes to 179 yards of total offense. He posted a career-best eight tackles while recording 1.5 sacks for a loss of 14 yards.

LB Nick Milgate, Sr., Alfred

Milgate led the Alfred defense in the Saxons' home-opening win against George Fox. He helped keep the Bruins total offense under 200 yards with only 192, 63 yards in the air. Milgate totaled 13 tackles on the day with 10 of them being solo accomplishments. He had six tackles for a loss with minus-26 yards and out of those, two sacks. Milgate, during George Fox's final drive of the game, recorded a huge, 11-yard sack to force a fourth-down conversion attempt from the Bruins that was unsuccessful.

LB Re'Shaun Myers, Sr., Bridgewater

Myers had game-highs with 12 tackles, four tackles for loss and three sacks as Bridgewater shut out Stevenson in the first half of an eventual 37-22 win. His first sack ended the second Mustang drive of the game and led to a BC TD and a 13-0 lead. His second sack ended another drive with 1:23 left in the half and led to another TD and a 23-0 halftime lead.

LB Brandon Palmer, Sr., Berry

Palmer recorded three tackles, 2.5 tackles for a loss and three sacks, helping the Vikings tie a program record with nine sacks in a 34-9 win vs. LaGrange. The Vikings also held Panthers to just 43 yards on the ground.

LB Keegan Nichols, So., Austin College

Nichols had a huge game for Austin College as the 'Roos rallied from a double-digit deficit to top Southwestern Assemblies of God 27-26, making 13 tackles, including six solo stops, 3.5 tackles for loss, and a sack.

CB Joey Roth, So., UW-La Crosse

Roth recorded three interceptions and nine tackles (all unassisted) with one sack and one a pass breakup in UWL's 33-27 double overtime victory over 14th-ranked Illinois Wesleyan. His three interceptions tied a single-game school record, becoming the eighth player in UWL history to accomplish the feat and first since 2006. Roth's first interception resulted in a 48-yard field goal to give UWL a 17-7 halftime lead. He sacked Illinois Wesleyan's Brandon Bauer on the Titans' first play in the first overtime and recorded his third interception of the game on the next play to force the second overtime.

S Nah'shon Godfrey, Sr., McDaniel

Godfrey led the Green Terror's strong defensive effort that forced seven turnovers in a 13-10 win over Moravian. Godfrey had nine tackles, including seven solo stops. He also had two interceptions, a forced fumble, sack and pass breakup.

S Brendan Holmes, Sr., Simpson

Holmes forced a fumble on the opponent's 24-yard line to help set up a game-clinching field goal for the Storm in a 27-23 win vs. Chicago. He also led the team with 11 tackles, seven solo, forced three fumbles and recorded a sack.

CB Raylens Boutin, Fr., Brockport

Boutin took his first two collegiate interceptions back for touchdowns, just four minutes apart in the third quarter, and the Brockport defense blanked visiting Framingham State as the Golden Eagles won 14-0. He finished with six tackles, five solo, and one tackle for loss.

Special teams

K Sandy Burks, Sr., Hendrix

Burks went 2-for-2 on field goal tries, connecting on a 39-yard attempt and nailing a game-winning 31-yard try as time expired as the Warriors left Texas Lutheran with a 26-23 victory.

P Michael Gillespie, Fr., Salisbury

Gillespie averaged 43.5 yards per punt on eight attempts in Salisbury's 24-19 win over UW-Oshkosh. Gillespie's best punt of the day came at a pivotal time for Salisbury. With the Sea Gulls backed up at their own 9-yard line late in the fourth, Gillespie boomed a career-long 72-yard punt that flipped the field and forced Oshkosh to start their drive at their own 19-yard line.

RET A.J. Jackson, Fr., Lake Forest

Jackson made the most of his home debut. He took the opening kickoff 60 yards to set up the Foresters first TD of the day. He later had an 85-yard punt return for a touchdown. His total of 153 return yards on the day does not include a second punt return that crossed the goal line that as negated by a blocking penalty away from the play.

ST Jamarkus Brumskin, Sr., Salisbury

With UW-Oshkosh looking to open the scoring in the first quarter, Brumskin dove in and blocked a 25-yard field goal attempt from Peyton Peterson. Salisbury went on to score the first 24 points of the game and hung on to win, 24-19.
