Offense

QB Joe Germinerio, Jr., Brockport

Germinerio helped lead the Golden Eagles to an undefeated season, capping off 2018 with a 49-7 win at Morrisville State. He had a stellar day under center, completing 32 of 41 passes, for 341 yards and four touchdowns. He also added a pair of scores on the ground, picking up 65 yards on eight carries.

OL Will Ebert, Sharmore Clarke, Nathan Gray, Ricky Strba, Colton Bauknecht, North Central (Ill.)

The Cardinals' line paved the way for North Central's third game with at least 300 rushing yards and 600 total yards this season. North Central averaged 8.0 yards per rushing attempt and 9.0 yards per play. The Cardinals scored touchdowns on their first six drives and went without punting for the second time this season.

RB Lamar Carswell
Sr., Trine

Carswell rushed for a Trine and MIAA single-game record 359 yards against Kalamazoo and set a school single-season record for total rushing yards with 2,184 on the season. He averaged 14.4 yards per carry.

RB Lance Moise
Jr., Concordia-Chicago

Moise ran for a career-high 326 yards on a CUC single-game record 43 carries vs. Benedictine. He scored four rushing touchdowns and is now the NACC's all-time rushing leader with 3,413 yards with one season left.

WR Noah Thomas
So., Rose-Hulman

Thomas set a school record with 932 receiving yards in a season on a day that featured five total TDs against Earlham. Thomas hauled in 13 passes for 191 yards and four touchdowns, and added a rushing touchdown as part of a 54-yard, three-carry day.

WR Harrison Jones
Sr., Hamline

Jones had a huge performance with 13 catches for 196 yards and two touchdowns in the last game of his college career, helping Hamline to a 27-9 win over Augsburg. Prior to that game, he had caught just 19 passes all season. 

TE Brian Blanzy
Sr., Albion

Blanzy hauled in a pass at midfield and shed a would-be tackler to finish a 93-yard TD in the fourth quarter of a 35-19 win vs. Olivet. The play matched the longest reception in Albion history. He also scored on a 13-yard pass from Kyle Thomas on Albion's first possession.

Defense

DE Daniel Gioioso
So., Union

Gioioso had 13 total tackles, three and a half sacks, six and a half tackles for a loss and an interception in a win vs. then-No. 14 RPI in the Dutchman Shoes game. His TFL are the most by any player in Division III and the second-most in the entire NCAA this season.

DT Joey Lane
Jr., Westminster (Pa.)

Lane tied a career-high with eight tackles (five solo), one sack (five yards), one tackle for loss (five yards), one forced fumble and a fumble recovery a 21-7 victory over Geneva.

DE Javon Muhammad
Sr., MacMurray

Muhammad, who leads Division III in sacks and tackles for loss, had three and a half of the former and four and a half of the latter in a 34-20 win vs. St. Scholastica. He also broke up six passes and had 13 total tackles.

 

LB Justin Wheeler
So., St. John Fisher

Wheeler had nine tackles in all in a come-from-behind win against Buffalo State including two tackles for a loss and a sack. He also forced a fumble and had two fumble recoveries, including one that he returned 21 yards to paydirt to tie the game at 28-28 in the fourth quarter.

LB Jake Behne
Sr., Coast Guard

Behne had a career-high 18 tackles, 15 solo to finish the season with 103 in a 26-12 win over Merchant Marine to win the Secretaries' Cup. He had a key interception which he returned 22 yards to the MMA 30 with 35 seconds left the first half setting up the Bears' go-ahead touchdown. The defense held MMA to 58 yards and shut them out in the second half.

LB Terrance Crowe
Sr., Wittenberg

Crowe made a season-high 19 tackles (11 solo) in the Tigers' season-ending 27-21 win at Wooster. In addition, Crowe had a sack for a loss of 9 yards and also returned a fumble 50 yards to the house late in the first quarter to break a 7-7 tie and give the Tigers a 13-7 lead.

LB Re'Shaun Myers
Jr., Bridgewater

Myers recorded a sack, three tackles for loss, and a 23-yard fumble return for a TD. His three TFLs were for a total loss of 27 yards. He also made a team-high 10 tackles as BC held Ferrum to 41 yards rushing on 32 attempts.

 

CB Elijah Demosthene
So., King's

Demosthene had a big day to lead King's to a 45-0 victory over rival Wilkes as he tied a school record with three interceptions. He capped the day with a 95-yard pick-six to set a school record. In total, Demosthene's three interceptions were returned for 114 yards. The defensive back added four tackles in the win.

S Corey Kennedy
Sr., Wheaton

Kennedy forced an Elmhurst fumble on the first offensive play of the game, recovered the fumble and returned it 27 yards for a touchdown to give Wheaton a 7-0 lead. Midway through the second quarter he intercepted an Elmhurst pass and returned it 62 yards, untouched, for a touchdown.

S Alden Seger
Sr., Rhodes

Wide receiver, turned safety his senior season, Seger wrapped up a career-high 10 tackles in Rhodes' 21-14 victory over Austin College. With the Lynx leading 21-14, Seger intercepted a Roos pass and returned it 10 yards, allowing Rhodes to run some clock off and hold on for the eventual victory.

CB Travon Long
Sr., Louisiana College

The senior ended his Louisiana College career with a banner performance helping the Wildcats to a 45-13 win over Howard Payne. Long forced two turnovers, forcing and recovering a fumble on a strip sack, and intercepting a pass. He added one and a half tackles for loss, among his eight total stops, and broke up another pass.

Special teams

K Jon Alberts
Jr., Central

Alberts was a perfect 7-for-7 on kick attempts in a 37-34 road win against Loras. He connected on three field goals, including the 18-yard game winner with two seconds remaining at the end of a 13-play drive.

P Anthony Louthan
Sr., Pacific Lutheran

Louthan had six punts for 268 yards, averaging 44.7 yards per boot. He had two go longer than 50 yards and landed one inside the 20 in a 28-14 win vs. Lewis & Clark.

RET Davonta Womack
Sr., Bridgewater

Womack returned a punt 68 yards for a score in the third quarter to break a 14-14 tie and give Bridgewater their first lead in a come-from-behind 42-21 win at Ferrum to close the 2018 season.

ST Pat Minogue
Sr., Ithaca

Minogue blocked two punts and recorded six tackles as a linebacker. Meanwhile, he uncorked a 67-yard punt in the Bombers' 24-21 Cortaca Jug win.
