Feamster Jr.’s Game-Winning Kick at the Horn Powers BW Football Seniors’ Day Triumph Over Heidelberg

BEREA, Ohio – Freshman placekicker Robert Feamster, Jr. (Edenton, N.C./EA Laney) nailed a 34-yard game-winning field goal as time expired to lift the Baldwin Wallace University football team to an Ohio Athletic Conference and Seniors' Day victory over Heidelberg University by a final score of 41-38 on Tressel Field inside the George Finnie Stadium.

BW (8-2, 6-2 OAC) improved to 54-24 in the all-time series with Heidelberg (6-4, 5-3 OAC).

Yellow Jacket Leaders

  • Junior All-OAC quarterback Charlie Bubonics (Solon) completed 21-of-30 passes for 250 yards with two touchdowns.  Bubonics also rushed for a career-high 159 yards on 17 carries.  The 159-yards was 16 yards short of his career rushing total of 175 yards entering the game.
  • Junior Academic All-OAC running back George Linberger (Barberton/St. Vincent-St. Mary) rushed for 68 yards on 17 carries with a career-high tying three touchdowns
  • Junior Academic All-OAC wide receiver Xavier Balson (North Olmsted) caught seven passes for 94 yards.
  • Defensively, senior All-OAC linebacker Dom Tromba (Painesville/Riverside) career-high and game-high 13 tackles, including two big stops on Heidelberg's final drive.

Student Prince Leaders

  • Senior quarterback Ty Poorman completed 15-of-25 passes for 223 yards with two touchdowns
  • Junior running back Drew Miller rushed for a game-high 192 yards on 31 carries with two touchdowns
  • Junior wide receiver Dmitry Peters caught three passes for 37 yards with one touchdown
  • Defensively, senior linebacker Trey Farris, senior defensive back Griffin Reese and junior linebacker Kris Williams each tallied 10 tackles.
