2025 Redlands Football Schedule
REDLANDS, Calif. – The University of Redlands football team announced their 2025 schedule which begins at home inside Ted Runner Stadium on Saturday, September 6 at 7 p.m. when they host George Fox University (GFU).
The Bulldogs schedule consists of nine games, four at home and five on the road. They play a pair of non-conference games, both against Northwest Conference (NWC) schools, and seven Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) games, three home and four away.
In 2024 Redlands went 3-7 overall and 3-5 in conference. They were 1-3 at home, 2-3 away from home, and went 0-1 in neutral site games.
GFU finished the 2024 season 4-6 with a 2-5 mark in conference. They split their two games against SCIAC opponents with a win versus the Bulldogs and a loss to Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (CMS). They were 2-3 away from home.
Redlands first road game is on Saturday, Sept. 20 at noon when they go to Spokane, Washington to faceoff with Whitworth University. The Pirates have made the NCAA Championship each of the past two seasons and they ended 2024 with a 10-2 record and a 6-1 mark in NWC play. They defeated Chapman University and Pomona-Pitzer last year, each one possession wins at home. Whitworth ended their season in the NCAA Second Round with a loss at North Central College.
SCIAC play begins on Sept. 27 at 7 p.m. when the Bulldogs host California Lutheran University (CLU). The Kingsmen went 2-8 overall with a 2-6 mark within SCIAC as they finished last in the Surf Division. CLU went 1-3 on the road and 1-5 at home which is where game two of the season series will be played on October 25 at 7 p.m. The first of the two meetings, the one in Redlands, will be the Smudge Pot Trophy game.
The first game of October will see the Bulldogs play at Chapman on Oct. 4 at 7 p.m. The Panthers won the Surf Division with a 6-2 record and a 7-3 overall mark. They posted a 3-1 record at home.
A week later on Oct. 11 at 1 p.m. Redlands will be in Claremont for a matchup with the Staggs. CMS tied with Chapman for first place in the Surf with a 6-2 SCIAC record and finished 8-2 overall. The Stags went 4-1 at home. The Bulldogs will get a return trip from CMS on November 8 at 1 p.m. for the regular season finale.
The lone meeting between Redlands and Pomona-Pitzer is on Oct. 18 at 7 p.m. inside Ted Runner. The Sagehens won the Sun Division with a 7-1 record and finished 8-3 overall. They defeated Chapman to win the SCIAC Championship before losing in the NCAA Championship First Round at Whitworth. They finished 2024 with a 3-2 road record.
The final new opponent is the University of La Verne on Nov. 1 at 1 p.m. in La Verne. The Leopards were last in the Sun with an 0-8 record. They also failed to win either of their two non-conference games. They were 0-5 at home.

- George Fox (4-4): Lost last two. 2-1 home record.
- Whitworth (5-3): The Bulldogs lost their first three meetings but have won the last five. They are 3-1 in Spokane.
- Cal Lutheran (15-7): Riding an 11-game winning streak.
- Chapman (15-7): Alternated wins since 2014-15 when Chapman won two-straight. Redlands had won seven in-a-row and 11 of 12 prior to that. They hold a 7-4 record in Orange.
- Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (16-9): Lost six-straight after holding a 15-2 record in the 17 games prior to that. 8-4 home record and an 8-5 road mark.
- Pomona-Pitzer (19-6): Lost last four. Won 16 of 17 leading up to the losing streak.
- La Verne (23-1): Won 10 in-a-row. Last loss was in 2015. 12-0 on the road.
