Eight Redlands Football players named CSC Academic All-District

2024 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Football Academic All-District Release

AUSTIN, Texas – The College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced the 2024 football academic all-district members with eight University of Redlands football players earning the honor.

Evan Aguon makes the all-district team for the second-straight season. Finished his final season with 12 receptions for 160 yards and two touchdowns. Aguon is a business administration major and plans to pursue a career in the healthcare industry.

Benjamin Fitchett makes his first all-district team. He played in nine games as one of the starting offensive linemen. He is an environmental studies major and plans to become an environmental engineer after school.

Jayden Mckey is a first timer. He became the Bulldogs' starting quarterback in the second half of the first game of the season and maintained that role until injury knocked him out in November. He finished with 681 yards and three touchdowns through the air and another 81 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. Mckey is a business administration major and plans to pursue becoming a firefighter.

Joining Aguon as a returning selection is Aaron Muniz. He had a career year with 39 tackles, six for loss, and two sacks. He is a business administration major and has not made a postgraduate decision.

Calel Olicia-Aramboles earns his first all-district team in his junior season. He spent much of the season as the starting running back, averaging 31.5 yards per game and tied a team-high with three rushing touchdowns. He is an international relation major and plans to attend American University after Redlands.

Cole Smith finishes his career studying economics and sociology. He makes his first all-district team. He doubled his career interception total of two and added 40 tackles, 5.5 for loss, one sack, five passes defended, and a forced fumble. He plans to begin his career after graduating.

Transfer Aidan Petruescu makes an all-district team in his first season with the Bulldogs. He was the team's starting punter the entire season and punted a total of 59 times for 2,070 yards with 14 landing inside the 20 and three going 50 yards or more. He ranks top-10 in single-season program history in total punts and yards. Petruescu is a liberal studies major, and his postgraduate plans are to become a teacher.

Logan Sperline is the third returning member of the all-district team. He played in three games and registered one catch for nine yards. Sperline is a sociology major and plans to become a teacher and football coach after school.
