Muskingum overwhelms Capital to win 100th Homecoming game

The Muskingum football team overwhelmed Capital in front of an electric capacity crowd in the Bullock Health and Wellness Complex to win Muskingum's 100th Homecoming game on Saturday night, 37-7.

How it Happened

  • Muskingum scored the opening 28 points of the game to take a 28-0 lead into the break.
  • The Muskies scored in the first quarter on a seven-yard touchdown pass from Garrett to Roberson to cap off an impressive 17-play, 98-yard drive to take a 7-0 lead.
  • Muskingum seized control of the contest in the second quarter with a 21-point outburst. Wilkinson scored on a two-yard run, Keitt hauled in a 17-yard pass from Garrett, and Edmondson caught a 26-yard strike from Garrett.
  • Muskingum capped off the scoring in the fourth quarter on a Wilkinson one-yard score and freshman kicker Aaron Meyers' 36-yard field goal.
