(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.) – The Thomas More College football team extended its winning streak to three games as it defeated Saint Vincent College, 63-13, today (Saturday, October 21, 2017) in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) game at BB&T Field in Crestview Hills, Kentucky.

With the win, the Saints improve to 4-4 overall and 3-3 in the PAC.  With the loss, the Bearcats fall to 2-5 overall and 1-4 in the PAC.

Thomas More never trailed as it led 14-0 after one quarter, 42-7 at halftime and 56-7 after three quarters.

The Saints had six rushing downs as junior running back Hjavier Pitts (Cincinnati, Ohio/Mt. Healthy) had touchdown runs of 26 and 19 yards, junior running back Luke Zajac (Edgewood, Ky./Dixie Heights) scored on runs of one and nine yards and first-year running back Dillon Powell (Independence, Ky./Simon Kenton) scored on one and six yard runs.  Thomas More also had two touchdown receptions as senior wide receiver Daylin Garland II (Newport, Ky./Newport) scored on an 18 yard catch and junior wide receiver Logan Winkler (Independence, Ky./Simon Kenton) had a 56 yard touchdown reception.

Sophomore kicker Cole Mathias (Reynoldsburg, Ky./Reynoldsburg) made seven point-after-attempts (PAT) and sophomore kicker Alex Barnhart (Westerville, Ohio/Westerville Central) converted two PAT.

Thomas More out-gained Saint Vincent 549 yards (348 rushing/201 passing) to 331 yards (130 rushing/201 passing).

Senior quarterback Brenan Kuntz (Independence, Ky./Simon Kenton) was nine-of-13 passing for 117 yard and one touchdown, while also rushing the ball six times for 60 yards.  Pitts had 13 carries for 167 yards and two touchdowns, while Zajac had 15 carries for 75 yards and two touchdowns.  Garland had two catches for 29 yards and a touchdown, while also throwing a 56 yard touchdown pass.  Winkler had two catches for 70 yards and a touchdown and senior wide receiver Darryl Keels (Louisville, Ky./Seneca) had three catches for 45 yards.

Sophomore linebacker Adam Guard (Lawrenceburg, Ind./Pinecrest Academy (Ga.)) led the Saints' defense as he had eight tackles (four solo/four assisted), including a half sack and a tackle for a loss.  Senior linebacker Nick Taylor (Cincinnati, Ohio/Elder) had seven tackles (five solo/two assisted), including one and a half tackles for a loss with a fumble recovery and sophomore linebacker Cody Coffey (Anderson, Ohio/Anderson) had seven tackles (four solo/three assisted), including two and a half sacks.  Senior linebacker Gabe Rice (Cincinnati, Ohio/Norwood) had five tackles (four solo/one assisted) and sophomore defensive back Thomas Williams (Oregonia, Ohio/Clinton Massie) had five tackles (three solo/two assisted), including two tackles for a loss.

The Saints will be on the road next Saturday (October 28) when they travel to Bethany, West Virginia to play Bethany College at 12 p.m. at Bison Stadium.
