The Bucs return to Strong Stadium looking to snap a two-game slump as they host the Green Knights of St. Norbert College…

The Series: The Buccaneers and Green Knights are meeting for the 33rd time in a series SNC leads 22-10.  SNC has won five straight in the series and 18 of the last 20, dating back to the 1996 season.  The Bucs' most recent victory in the series came on September 11, 2010, at Strong Stadium, a last-second 34-31 win.  The series began in 1984 with a 15-13 Buccaneer win in De Pere.  St. Norbert won four of the first six meetings before Beloit had a stretch of five wins in six seasons from 1990-1995…

Bucs Most Recent Game:  The Beloit College Football team dropped a 36-22 Midwest Conference game at Lawrence University last Saturday afternoon.  The Bucs got things off on the right foot when Kam Sallee booted a 46-yard field goal at 6:44 of the opening quarter.  But the Vikings countered with a two-yard run after a long return on the ensuing kickoff to take the lead for good in the contest.  Sallee pulled Beloit to within one with 43 seconds left in the quarter on a 24-yard field goal.  LU pulled away with back-to-back scoring runs to open the second quarter - from 29 and eight yards - to make it a 22-6 game.  Mason Dixon rushed in from two yards out with just over a minute left in the half but the point-after run failed to make it 22-12 at the break.  A 19-yard run at 11:20 of the third quarter made it 29-12, Lawrence, before Sallee booted his third field goal of the game, this one from 30 yards, to make it 29-15 entering the fourth.  An 82-yard scoring run 14 seconds into the final quarter closed out the scoring for the Vikings, making it 36-15.  Mike Nolden caught a 42-yard touchdown pass from Danny May with just under two minutes left for the final score.  Beloit held the advantage in total yards with 423 to LU's 381.  The Buccaneers threw for 214 yards and rushed for 209 while LU had 348 rushing yards and 33 through the air.  Dixon led Beloit with 146 yards rushing on 25 carries, while May had 65 yards on 12 rushes.  May also threw for 214, 83 of them to Nolden on four catches.  Sallee caught seven passes for 79 yards.  On defense Quin Dixon had nine tackles and David Lafayette and Michael Kock seven each.  Koch and Jack Sommer each had a sack.…

Bucs' Last Time vs. the Green Knights: Beloit ran into a formidable opponent at Strong Stadium, falling 33-0 to Midwest Conference North Division-leader St. Norbert College.  The Green Knights got rolling quickly, putting together a 10-play drive for the first score, a one-yard run, just under five minutes into the first quarter.  The point-after hit the right upright.  They made it 13-0 after one quarter with a 13-yard scoring run at 2:33, completing a quick five-play, 98-yard drive.  SNC kept it up in the second quarter, scoring on a five-yard pass at the 11:31 mark.  The blocked point-after made it 19-0, a lead they increased to 26-0 at the break with a one-yard run at 6:41.  St. Norbert closed out the scoring with 58 seconds left in the third quarter with a third one-yard scoring run, making it 33-0.  The Green Knights totaled 473 yards of offense while holding the Buccaneers to 196.  Danny May threw for 62 yards, with Mike Nolden (26 yards) and Kam Sallee (19 yards) each catching four passes.  Mason Dixon had 45 yards rushing on 17 carries.  Defensively Antonio Jones continued his strong play with 20 tackles, including 15 solo or first hit.  Jones also grabbed his fourth interception of the season.  Dewight Walker had eight tackles and a blocked extra point while Henry Jacobsen and Brendon Endrina had seven tackles each.  Jack Sommer had the team's lone sack, on which he forced and recovered the fumble.…

Notes & Notables:  Kam Sallee is now Beloit's career leader in made field goals with 26 after booting three, including a 46-yarder, at Lawrence on Saturday.  He topped the previous mark set by Greg Dummer from 1982-85.  On the season Sallee is 9-9, including 4-4 from 40-plus yards…Mason Dixon became the second Buccaneer running back to go over 4,000 yards rushing with his 146 at Lawrence.  He now has 4,043.  Only his dad, Steve, had more yardage at 4,792, from 1990-93…

Up Ahead for the Bucs:  Beloit travels to Ripon College on October 15 before returning to Strong Stadium on October 22 for the final two home games of the season against Macalester College on the 22nd and Monmouth College on the 29th…
