Macalester handed Carroll its first loss of the season and took over the driver's seat in the Midwest Conference North Division, defeating the Pioneers 34-17.

Carroll, which was not receiving any votes in the D3football.com Top 25, was ranked in the coaches' poll. Zandy Stowell rushed for 176 yards and Samson Bialostok added 122 yards and three touchdowns on the ground in the win.

Macalester, which has loved its new conference to the tune of a 7-1 record, 4-0 in the division, must win at St. Norbert next week to guarantee a chance to play in the conference title game vs. the conference's South Division champion. That will be decided head-to-head between Cornell and Illinois College next weekend.

C.J. Conway intercepted four passes for Montclair State, returning the last of them 23 yards for a touchdown with 2:16 left to seal the Red Hawks' 30-20 come-from-behind win over Cortland State on Saturday.

St. Lawrence finished its half of the bargain and set up a Liberty League championship clash with Hobart next weekend by defeating WPI 20-7. The Saints (7-1, 5-0) took advantage of four Engineer turnovers.

St. Scholastica and Greenville ensured a winner-take all game will end the season in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference. The Saints took care of business vs. Minnesota-Morris, winning 40-2, while Greenville defeated Westminster (Mo.) 42-14. Preston Robinson ran for 176 yards and accounted for five touchdowns for St. Scholastica, which remains unbeaten going into next week's matchup. Nathan Callaway and Jacob Stull each went over 100 yards on the ground for Greenville.

Endicott battled back from a 28-9 deficit to take the lead vs. unbeaten MIT, but the Engineers scored with 7:53 left in the game and held on to defeat the Gulls 34-29. Tufts guaranteed itself a .500 record this season and finished unbeaten at home as the Jumbos defeated Colby 28-7 on Saturday. Greg Lanzillo celebrated the Jumbos' Senior Day in style by catching three passes from sophomore Alex Snyder, all for touchdowns.

Tim Bona found tight end Phillip Sherman in a crowd on the last play of the game, lifting Hamline to a 23-17 win over St. Olaf. Hamline is 3-5 and could finish .500 for the first time in two decades, playing at Augsburg and hosting Carleton to end the season.

Wilkes fell behind Albright 23-0 at the half, but rallied at home to tie the game at 29 and push it to overtime. The Lions scored a touchdown and Wilkes answered. But the Colonels' two-point conversion attempt failed and Albright hung on, 36-35.

UW-River Falls picked up its third win, matching its combined total from the past three seasons, and won its second WIAC game of the season in defeating UW-La Crosse 16-13 in overtime. Ryan Kusilek did it all for River Falls, completing 10 of 17 passing and kicking three field goals, the last a 38-yarder in OT for the win.

Morrisville State racked up 493 yards total offense, 359 in the running game behind quarterback Lemar Johnson and Cristian Pena in a 38-14 win vs. William Paterson. Johnson collected 158 net yards on 22 carries for two scores, and Pena added 148 yards on 23 attempts, also scoring twice. Morrisville plays at Montclair State next week with a chance to win a share of the NJAC title.
