September 29, 2018 No. 21 Wheaton retains the Little Brass Bell as the Thunder tops No. 5 North Central Naperville, Ill. – The Wheaton football team retained possession of the Little Brass Bell Trophy on Saturday evening with an impressive 52-30 victory at North Central College, the 100th meeting in the all-time series between the two DuPage County rivals. Wheaton, ranked 21st in this week's D3football.com Top-25 poll improves to 3-1 overall and 2-1 in CCIW play. North Central, fifth in the D3football.com Top-25, is now 3-1 on the season with a 2-1 record in CCIW play.
November 11, 2017 Sola Olateju sets Wheaton's career rushing record in a 71-0 win at Carroll Waukesha, Wis. – The Wheaton Thunder football team, ranked 22nd this week in the D3football.com Top-25 poll, closed out the regular season on Saturday with a 71-0 win at Carroll University. The 71 points scored by Wheaton today is the most since the Thunder scored 73 points in a victory at North Park on October 21, 2006.
November 4, 2017 Wheaton tops Augustana 53-10 Wheaton, Ill. – The Wheaton Thunder (7-2, 5-2 CCIW) football team defeated Augustana 53-10 on Saturday at McCully Stadium in the home finale for the 2017 Thunder schedule.
October 21, 2017 Wheaton defeats North Park 56-0 Chicago, Ill. - The No. 23-ranked Wheaton football team capped its unusual week with a 56-0 rout of North Park on Saturday afternoon. With the victory, Wheaton heads into its bye week with a record of 6-2 overall and 4-2 in CCIW play. North Park falls to 1-6 and 0-5 in the CCIW. The Thunder will next be in action on November 4, when Wheaton welcomes Augustana to McCully Stadium for a 1:00 p.m. kickoff on Senior Day.
October 16, 2017 Wheaton surges when play resumes to dump No. 4 North Central The game for the Little Brass Bell took a few extra days to complete, when play was suspended at halftime on Saturday, But the wait was worth it for Wheaton, as the Thunder rolled in the second half to earn a 42-20 victory against the fourth-ranked Cardinals.
