February 20, 2018 McAdams named head PLU football coach Frosty Westering, then his son Scott, coached Pacific Lutheran from 1972 through 2018. Trinity (Texas) assistant Brant McAdams will the first non-Westering to head that program in more than four decades.
November 16, 2017 PLU coach Scott Westering steps down PLU announced on Wednesday the resignation of head football coach Scott Westering. A member of the PLU Hall of Fame, Westering has been involved with Lute athletics as a student-athlete and a coach. Westering began his tenure on the coaching staff in 1981 and has been the head coach for the last 14 seasons, compiling a record of 73-54.
