September 13, 2014 Gustavus Cruises Past Lake Forest 42-9 In Final Non-Conference Test The Gustavus Adolphus football team completed the non-conference portion of its regular season schedule with a 42-9 victory over Lake Forest College on Saturday afternoon at Farwell Field. With just a 14-9 cushion at halftime, Gustavus’s offense found its rhythm and its defense went into lock-down mode over the course of the final 30 minutes. The Gusties scored 28 points and allowed just three first downs and a total of 58 yards over the course of a second half dominated by the Black and Gold.
