Franklin, Ind. - The preseason accolades continue to pile up for the Franklin College football team. Junior offensive lineman Austin Carlton (Evansville, Ind./F.J. Reitz) has been named a second-team preseason All-American by D3football.com.

He was also named a preseason All-American by Lindy's Sports.

Carlton is coming off a 2013 season in which he was a Division III 2013 first-team All-North Region selection, by D3football.com, and earned first-team All-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference honors.

Carlton helped anchor Franklin's offensive unit that averaged 42.2 points per game and ranked fourth nationally with 347 passing yards per game. The Grizzlies also ranked fifth nationally in first downs (311) and sixth in third-down conversion percentage (49.5 percent).
