Juniata Football Announces Summer Camps and Combine

More news about: Juniata

HUNTINGDON, Pa. – The Juniata College football team has announced its youth and big men camps, college prospect combine, and 7-on-7 passing tournament.  All four will take place in the month of June.  The Youth Camp, which runs June 16-18, is the only multi-day camp.  While the College Prospect Combine, Big Man Camp, and 7-on-7 Passing Tournament are all single day programs.

The Youth Camp will be held from 8:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. and include personal instruction from the Juniata football staff with focus on football skills and related activities, as well as games, that develop teamwork and all-around athletic skills. It is designed for children entering grades one through eight and is only $25 per child.

The College Prospect Combine will be on Saturday, June 14 from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Designed for football players entering grades nine through 12, the combine will introduce them to the expectations of college football.  It is a non-contact camp to individually develop each player's specific skills.  The cost is just $30 per player and lunch will be provided.

The Big Man Camp will take place on Saturday, June 21 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.  It is designed for football players entering grades nine through 12 and will focus on offensive and defensive lineman.  The camp features personalized instruction, an emphasis on specific techniques, and basic skills of line play.  It is only $30 per individual lineman, while coaches can signup Big Man teams of seven or more for only $200.

While the lineman are working on their skills, teams can compete in the 7-on-7 Passing Tournament.  Run in conjunction with the big man camp, the tournament provides the perfect opportunity for coaches to bring their whole team for a day of instruction.  Registration is just $300 per team.  Coaches wishing to signup for both Big Man and 7-on-7 teams can do so for just $400.  Lunch will be provided on that day.

Please go to www.juniata.edu/camps or call 814-641-3604 to register for either of the events.  For more information about the Juniata Football camps and programs, please contact assistant football coach and camps director Julian Valdiserri at 814-641-3515, or football operations assistant Belinda Zauzig at 814-641-3510.
