Franklin's Kyle Linville Named D3football.com All-American

Franklin, Ind. - The postseason honors continue to roll in for Franklin College senior split end Kyle Linville (Speedway, Ind./Speedway), named a first-team All-American for the 2013 season by D3football.com.

Earlier, Linville earned NCAA Division III All-American honors by the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) and he was a finalist for the Gagliardi Award as the nation's top NCAA Division III player.

Linville set a single-season school record in 2013 with 108 receptions to help lead the Grizzlies to their fourth consecutive Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) championship and Division III playoff appearance. He earned first-team All-HCAC accolades after catching 14 touchdowns and amassing 1,374 receiving yards.

His 53 career touchdowns and 4,691 receiving yards were the most among all active NCAA division players (I-FBS, I-FCS, Division II and Division III). He ended his career with 308 catches.

The Grizzlies advanced to the second round of the Division III playoffs for the third straight season. The team had an 8-4 record, including a 7-1 HCAC mark, in 2013.
