Middletown, CT – Wesleyan placekicker Sebastian Aguirre converted a 22-yard field goal with 4:49 to play in the fourth quarter to provide the deciding points in a 16-14 win over Williams.
Junior RB LaDarius Drew had an 11-yard rush on the drive that put the Cardinals on the Eph 12-yard line. The Eph defense was able to hold the Wesleyan offense and force them to attempt the 22-yard field goal.
At 14:55 in the fourth quarter, senior RB Marco Hernandez rushed for 2 yards to give the Ephs their first touchdown of the game. Mallock's PAT was good decreasing the deficit to just 6 points, 13-7.
