NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Illinois Wesleyan's Rob Gallik, Augustana's Sean Walker and Wheaton's Justin Swider were named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Football Players of the Week Monday. Gallik, a senior quarterback from Chicago, Illinois and St. Rita High School (English major), was 20-for-24 (.833 completion percentage) for 349 yards and five touchdowns in a 48-21 road win at Aurora on Saturday. His .833 completion percentage is second only to Lon Erickson's school record of .871 (27-of-31) against Millikin in 1996. Gallik's five touchdown passes tied for fourth-best in school history. Walker, a senior defensive back from Annawan, Illinois and Annawan High School (Biology major), totaled four tackles, including three tackles for loss, two pass breakups, a forced fumble and fumble recovery during a 20-10 home win against Mt. St. Joseph on Saturday. The Viking defense held The Lions to just 238 yards of offense on the day. In the second half, Mount St. Joseph had just 60 yards of total offense and only two first downs. Swider, a senior kick returner from Wheaton, Illinois and Wheaton North High School (Business/Economics major), had a career-best 93-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in the second quarter during the Thunder's 48-27 win over Benedictine on Saturday.
