WATCH LIVE: USA South Football Media Day on July 29

More news about: Maryville (Tenn.)

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — The 2013 USA South Conference Football Media Day will be hosted by Averett University in Danville on Monday, July 29, at 11 a.m. Each of the Conference's nine football coaches will address the media and give their thoughts on the upcoming football season.

Fans can watch the free broadcast of the press conferences here.

This season marks the 13th year of USA South football. Last season, with identical 5-2 USA South records, Christopher Newport University, Ferrum College and Maryville College each shared league championship honors. With victories over Ferrum and Maryville during the season, CNU earned the league's bid into the NCAA Tournament.

The unveiling of the football preseason poll will take place on the day of the event, which will be held at the university's Student Center on its Main Campus. The place of each team in the voting will be revealed moments prior to each coach speaking. The head coach of the last place team will speak first and the event will conclude with words from the head coach of the preseason favorite. The full poll results will then be released on www.USASouth.net.

The 2013 USA South football schedule kicks-off on Friday, Sept. 6, as N.C. Wesleyan travels to face Stevenson. The following day, the remaining eight Conference teams, including new member Huntingdon College, will begin their seasons with non-conference action.
