CLEVELAND – Case Western Reserve University football Head Coach Greg Debeljak has announced the hiring of Warren Miller as the Spartans' new special teams coordinator and linebackers coach. Miller spent the past five seasons as linebackers coach at NCAA Division II Walsh University.

Miller replaces Jerry Schuplinski, who was recently named defensive coordinator at John Carroll University.

"We are excited to welcome Warren to our staff," said Debeljak. "We had an exceptional pool of candidates to choose from, and Warren's impressive background in similar positions at Walsh and the University of Minnesota really distinguished him. He is skilled in both technique and schemes, but most importantly, he is an outstanding person who is passionate about working with student-athletes. Warren will be an excellent mentor to our players."

During his five seasons at Walsh, Miller also served as an Athletic Academic Advisor from 2010-12 as well as Director of Compliance and Eligibility from 2007-10. As linebackers coach, he was responsible for all linebacker development, including techniques, practice/meeting organization and game preparation. He assisted with defensive play-calling and coached all aspects of the Cavaliers' punt return/block unit.

Prior to his time in North Canton, Miller served for three seasons (2005-07) in a defensive quality control position at Minnesota. During his time on the staff, the Gophers appeared in a pair of bowl games.

Miller also served as a graduate assistant and tight end coach at Walsh from 2003-05 as well as a student assistant for offensive lineman and tight ends at his alma mater, Baldwin Wallace University, from 2001-03.

An active member of the American Football Coaches Association, Miller graduated from BW with a Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration.
