More news about: Redlands

It was recently announced that sophomore wide receiver Connor Waitkus(Henderson, NV), a member of the University of Redlands football program, received a Schroeder Summer Language Training Scholarship through the school's Business Administration Department.  This two-year letterman has chosen to take his talents to China to study the Mandarin language in the summer of 2013.

Jack Osborn, the Hunsaker Chair of Management and business professor at the University of Redlands, recently spoke about this illustrious honor.

"The Schroeder Language Scholarship is one of our University's most important awards.  For a Global Business major, this award provides a huge boost to accomplishing the degree's required language component.  Connor will find the summer of 2013, in China, to be a tremendous accelerator for his personal goal of mastering Mandarin."

The Schroeder Language Scholarship became possible when Mr. and Mrs. James Schroeder donated a generous gift.  Mr. Schroeder, an alumnus of the University of Redlands, seeks to promote academic excellence through these scholarships.  The $8,000.00 scholarship is available exclusively to Global Business majors at the University.
