GETTYSBURG, Pa. – Juniata scored on its opening drive, but Gettysburg halted the Eagles on their final 10 possessions and the Bullets earned a 28-7 Centennial Conference victory Saturday afternoon at Shirk Field at Musselman Stadium.

Senior quarterback Kody Smith accounted for three touchdowns for Gettysburg (3-0, 2-0 CC), which improved to 3-0 for the first time since the 1987 team started 6-0. Smith threw for 181 yards and a touchdown on 11-of-18 passing while rushing for 58 yards and two TDs.

Senior tailback Ted Delia added 68 yards rushing and a touchdown for Gettysburg while junior receiver Aden Twer caught three passes for 69 yards and a TD.

The Bullets, who entered the game leading Division III in rushing offense and scoring offense, outgained Juniata (1-3, 0-2 CC) 417-317 and out-rushed the Eagles 236-95. Gettysburg was ranked 11th in Division III in scoring defense entering the game and has now allowed just 14 points over three games.

Senior defensive tackle Ben Zepnick and freshman linebacker Kodie McNamara made eight tackles apiece for Gettysburg, marking a career-high for both, while junior linebacker Cody DiAmore contributed six hits and an interception to end Juniata's final drive, picking off a pass at the Bullet-5. Junior cornerback Hugo Nolasco added a career-high three pass breakups.

Noah Walstrom and Kevin Gorman made eight tackles apiece to lead Juniata while Brandon Felus made seven tackles and 2.0 sacks.

Udinksi drove the Eagles 80 yards on his team's opening drive and ran in a 2-yard touchdown run with 7:54 left in the first quarter. But Smith answered with a pair of rushing touchdowns, including a 1-yarder with 6:33 left in the second quarter and a 9-yarder with 3:52 remaining in the opening half, giving the Bullets a 14-7 advantage at the intermission.

On Gettysburg first drive of the second half, Smith found Twer down the left sideline for a 53-yard touchdown pass to make it 21-7.

Delia set the final score when he rushed for a 2-yard touchdown with 11:05 remaining.

Juniata threatened on its final drive, moving to the Gettysburg-26. But senior linebacker Larry DelViscio tipped a pass that DiAmore scooped up for his first career interception.
