The Greensboro College football team was dealt its first loss of the season on Saturday at Bridgewater 33-7.  The Pride trailed 30-7 at the break but held tough in the second half with an Eagle field goal representing the only points down the stretch.

Bridgewater extended the lead to 14-0 with 1:13 left as Jordan Hartman returned a Pride punt 69-yards for a touchdown.

Greensboro narrowed the gap to 14-7 just over seven minutes into the second frame as Eddie West capped off a seven-play, 50-yard scoring drive with a one-yard plunge.

The Eagles answered back 1:16 later with a touchdown and would add another score with 33 seconds left in the half to head into the locker room with a 30-7 advantage.

The Pride opened the second half with a pair of drives into Bridgewater territory.  However, both opportunities ended on failed fourth down conversions, with the second drive stalling at the Eagles 18-yard line.

The defenses took over from there, with the only points of the second half coming on a 36-yard field goal by Bridgewater's John Griggs with 10:10 remaining in the game.

The Eagles outgained Greensboro in total offense for the day by a count of 300-240.  The Pride racked up 174 yards through the air and 66 on the ground.
