Western New England senior Mike Valentine makes Capital One Academic District Team

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Western New England senior linebacker Mike Valentine (Newington, CT) was named to the Capital One NCAA Division III District 1 Academic Team on Thursday (Nov. 10).

Valentine has a 3.94 cumulative grade-point-average in Mechanical Engineering.

After missing last year with a broken leg, Valentine has started all 10 games this season and is eighth on the team with 40 tackles (18 solo), a sack (Plymouth State) and fumble recovery (Westfield State).

Valentine's name now goes on the national ballot with the NCAA Division III Academic Team being announced on Tuesday, December 6.
