THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. - Justin Haulcy-Bateman was named to the D3Football.com National Team of the Week for his performance during Saturday's 52-17 road win over La Verne.

Official Release: D3Football Team of the Week

Haulcy-Bateman grabbed two second quarter interceptions including a 20-yard pick-six during Cal Lutheran's 17th consecutive SCIAC win. His second of the game halted a late first half Leopards drive that had reached scoring territory.

He also had a 47-yard kick return in the final minute of the opening half. Haulcy-Bateman's return started the CLU offense in ULV territory and the Kingsmen finished off the first half with a quick touchdown drive to take a 35-3 lead into intermission.

It is the second two-interception game of his CLU career after snatching a pair during the team's 30-21 home win over Redlands back on Nov. 14, 2009. In that victory he also returned a pick for a touchdown as Cal Lutheran secured its first undefeated conference season in program history.

Haulcy-Bateman is the third Kingsmen to earn this distinction after both wide receiver Eric Rogers and defensive lineman Rian Younker were named to the team for their performances following a 56-0 win over Whittier on Oct. 8.
