More news about: Kalamazoo

The Kalamazoo College football team will play all five of its home games at Western Michigan University's Waldo Stadium this fall while the Hornets' Angell Field undergoes a complete renovation.

The move to Waldo Stadium prompted some adjustments in the home schedule. The home opener on Sept. 17 against Rose-Hulman is now scheduled for 7 p.m. That game will follow Western's 12 p.m. contest against Central Michigan. The other significant change involves the last home game (vs. Alma) which has been moved to Friday night, Oct. 28 at 7 p.m. The three other home Saturday games remain scheduled for 1 p.m.

The Hornets will return home to brand new facilities for the 2012 season. The football field will feature new artificial turf along with new a new scoreboard, bleacher, press box, and a new fieldhouse for locker rooms and athletic training facilities. The baseball, softball, and soccer fields are also being reconfigured and completely reconstructed.

Maintenance in progress.
