(This makes it safe for student-athletes and athletic department officials to participate, as we understand it.)

Scoring rules — one point for first-round games, 2 for second round, 4 for regional finals, 8 for national semifinal, 16 for the championship game. The championship game's point total is the tie-breaker — whoever gets the closest without going over.
This requires a separate registration from Post Patterns, or any previous years' pick 'em contests on either D3hoops.com or D3football.com.
