Thiel snapped a 24-game losing streak after a bad snap in overtime, while Rockford ended its own 23-game losing streak in Week 3 Division III football action.

Kicker Cody McClelland picked up the bad snap on a would-be field-goal attempt in overtime and found tight end Berend Grube for the game-winning touchdown against Geneva. The Tomcats won 21-14. For Rockford, Jacob Arnold returned an Olivet interception 50 yards for a touchdown and Matthew Botello ran for 177 yards and a touchdown in a 28-12 win.

John Borsellino scored three second-half touchdown, the clincher on a 77-yard kickoff return.
